Applications are invited for the post of Amanuensis (Scribe) for Examinations in Student Administration to cover the exam period from Tuesday 30 April to Friday 31 May 2019.

We are seeking to appoint casual Amanuenses to assist with examinations at the college. An Amanuensis is responsible for providing an accurate and legible record from the personal dictation of a student in examinations. Amanuenses may be asked to draw diagrams and read back material to the student on a one-to-one basis. An amanuensis should be able to write legibly and at a reasonable speed. A computer may be provided if required by the student, in these circumstances you will be asked to type rather than write the examination.

Successful candidates are expected to be reliable, punctual, diligent, good communicators and to remain calm under pressure. It is expected that individuals applying for these roles have previous relevant experience.

If you are absent from shifts you have committed to and this absence is unauthorised, or if you are repeatedly late or cancel shifts without sufficient notice, the College reserves the right to cease to offer you work.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.

This is a casual post, to cover the exam period from Tuesday 30 April to Friday 31 May 2019. You will also need to be available for a mandatory training and induction session on either Thursday 11 April or Tuesday 16 April.
