ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, STUDENT/ALUMNI RELATIONSAlumni Association (MITAA), to work to increase partnerships between the MITAA, undergraduate alumni, and students through several channels. Will manage the student ambassador program and serve as an advisor to the Student Alumni Association (SAA). This includes both managing and enhancing existing SAA program (including the Dinners for 12 Strangers program) and creating and implementing new, original programming. Will also develop strategies to engage young alumni in a variety of ways and set the stage for invested, engaged, lifelong alumni volunteers; be responsible for creating channels to transition current students into active MITAA volunteers, working closely with Senior Class Council to develop programming to create channels to MITAA, including Senior Week events, Senior Toast, Move-Out n’ Chill, and networking opportunities; and manage the MIT10 program from graduation through Mole reunion, which includes overseeing class councils, fostering connections to regional clubs, recruiting volunteers, and planning special reunions.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree; at least three years of experience in alumni relations, student affairs, or related area; experience with marketing; strong analytical, organizational, strategic thinking, and project management skills; experience recruiting and managing alumni volunteers; proficiency with alumni databases and standard PC applications including Microsoft Office and Encompass (by iModules); excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills; editing skills, detail orientation; and the ability to set goals and priorities. Alumni relations experience in a university setting is strongly preferred.  Job #17014-O
