Duties

The Reference Librarian is responsible for service as a faculty liaison performing extensive research and reference service for faculty members, keeping them apprised of library services, and monitoring their research interests. In addition, the Reference Librarian will be expected to assist students with their research needs, serve as a member of the reference and chat rotations, participate in library committees, monitor and when appropriate adopt new technologies, and helps promote the library and its services to the faculty, staff and students of the law school. The Reference Librarian is also an active member of the library’s team of instructional librarians, teaching in a wide range of credit and non-credit library instructional programs. This position will assume primary responsibility for management and maintenance of Biddle’s Government Documents/Depository collection.

Qualifications

Highly advanced professional discipline. ABA-accredited JD and ALA-accredited MLS degrees required; and 3 – 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
