Job description
The School wishes to appoint a highly motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and committed MBBS team.
The successful post holder will act as Clinical Module Lead for the Community block, an 8 week rotation in Year 5 MBBS which focusses on the care of patients and populations in a primary care setting.
The successful post holder will work with the Work-Based Learning team to recruit, train and quality assure appropriate placement providers to allow fulfilment of the learning outcomes. The eight week module includes two teaching weeks on campus and the post holder will be responsible for development and delivery of the teaching programme, with input also into assessment.
The successful post holder will have substantial experience of working as a medical practitioner in a healthcare setting and will have membership of the GMC. Experience of small group facilitation and excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills are essential. The successful post holder will be IT literate and have experience of teaching undergraduate medical students and evidence of providing mentoring & support to students and trainees.
The successful post holder will also be self-motivated and proactive in approach to challenges and opportunities and fully able on their own initiative or as part of a team.
