Job Description

PDC Administration

  1. Plan, develop and coordinate the preparation of financial analyses and reports including, but not limited to, financial statements, statistical reports, tax filings, clinic property tax listings, cost analyses and other financial information.
  2. Prepare monthly general and standard journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, account reconciliations, cost reports and various other accounting statements and reports; provide interpretation of results as appropriate
  3. Coordinate and participate in the preparation of various financial reports and analyses for senior leadership and internal customers.
  4. Maintain liaison with business unit financial managers to advise units regarding financial position, cash flows,accounts, and related financial matters.
  5. Prepare federal, state and other regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with established guidelines; keep informed of governmental regulations and procedures affecting the institution's finance and accounting procedures.
  6. Review and approve payables transactions, journal entries and deposits; Initiate wire transfers for all university &health system payments as well as lease and other contractual payments
  7. Prepare daily banking entries for C-Corps; generate monthly financial statements; maintain accounting for co-management contract.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Experience in/ ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and contracts. Experience in cost allocation modeling, tax return preparation and fixed asset accounting. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization. Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries. Ability to manipulate and evaluate large sets of data. Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial performance. Expert or Master level Excel skills, as evidenced by Microsoft certification, and/or experience in data presentation, macros and VBA, complex nesting formulas, dashboards, and secondary axis charts. Excellent time management and organizational ability. Knowledge of general ledger systems and related financial reporting applications. Experience in SAP, Epic, MS Dynamics Great Plains, deFacto, Management Reporter, SQL,Scribe and Business Objects.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/ PREFERENCES

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics,Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ PREFERENCES

Work requires six years of experience in financial management, cost accounting, general accounting or a field directly related to specialized area of assignment.

Must be able to work under time pressures in a busy clinic/office environment.
