REGISTERED NURSE, MIT Medical, to provide nursing care to MIT’s OB/GYN and pediatric population--comprised of employees, students, and their families--as part of an exciting transition to team-based care. Will play a leadership role in assuring that the day-to-day care of patients occurs through the building of relationships among a team made up of RNs, medical assistants, front desk staff, and providers, all with a focus on making each patient feel as though they are the most important patient of that day. Will monitor providers’ needs for patient care throughout the system and ensure that any significant changes in a patient’s status are noted appropriately; perform independent physical assessments of patients and administer treatment within the scope of the practice; assist medical assistants and front desk staff with meeting daily expectations; ensure all communication meets the needs of the patient and the team; and provide health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT medical.
MIT Medical is a full ambulatory care organization containing adult primary care, family urgent care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, dental, eye, lab, radiology, and other services.
An RN license in MA; BSN; BLS and ACLS certifications; a minimum of five years’ experience in an OBGYN and pediatric setting; experience working with MS Office software and an electronic medical record; and demonstrated experience multitasking. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of telephone and waiting room triage and be able to access data, interpret age-specific needs, and provide nursing care both independently and in collaboration with others.
