ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, EVENTS, Alumni Association, to perform complex and diverse administrative duties in support of the events team. Duties include monitoring multiple budgets, managing vendor proposals and budgets, and maintaining multiple financial spreadsheets; contacting alumni and MIT departments; staffing Alumni Association events; and creating event collateral including signs, name badges, and VIP binders. Will also anticipate and initiate actions requiring knowledge of MIT’s internal providers and outside vendors for event purposes.
REQUIRED: a high school diploma; three years’ experience, preferably in a university or nonprofit setting; ability to work in a team- and service-oriented environment with frequent interruptions; strong organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills; attention to detail; and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and FileMaker in a Windows environment. Experience with SAP, Coupa, and AdvanceWeb would be a plus. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Some evening and weekend work will be necessary.
