Arts University Bournemouth is the leading professional Arts University dedicated to turning creativity into careers. Offering courses in art, design, architecture, media and performance, we are passionate about our specialist subjects and dedicated both to education and the creative industries which we serve.

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, Arts educator who will be responsible for the effective academic operational leadership and management of the School, which includes our prestigious Foundation Diploma course.  The post holder will be a member of the University Leadership Team which will collaboratively drive and deliver the University’s Strategic Framework priorities. 

A contemporary knowledge of a wide range of creative disciplines, industrial practice and specialist arts education at this level is essential to the post. We seek to appoint someone with a vision, who can enhance the ethos of excellence and outstanding achievement, both within the Prep HE School, and at Arts University Bournemouth. 

You will play a key role in the enhancement of student experience within the School and will contribute to the developing profile of the University in the regional and national setting.  Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.    

You will also have relevant teaching experience at post-compulsory level, and experience of leading and managing a creative team. They will also have an excellent understanding of internal and external quality processes. Experience of quality assurance systems i.e. OFSTED is essential.

Applicants will need to hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject area and will have a relevant teaching qualification.
