ANALYTICS AND USER EXPERIENCE LEADOffice of VP for Communications, to provide critical insights to Office of Communications (OoC) through the analysis of analytics and user experience research about the sentiment and behavior of MIT’s target audiences. Will oversee the collection and analysis of data sources from across MIT to inform strategic decision-making and support experimentation with new content, approaches, and technology; work with OoC leadership to manage an audience insights practice that informs high-level communications work; consult with colleagues around MIT regarding their use of analytics and user experience research and how to apply them to their communications strategy; manage Elastic search (ES) index on MIT homepage and top-level pages to facilitate discovery of key MIT content; help identify, define, lead, and manage communications projects in support of MIT’s high-level goals; and help implement processes and practices to improve the integration and efficiency of the OoC. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a bachelor's degree; at least eight years of professional experience in strategic communications, preferably with a focus on project management, digital communications, analytics, and design; experience with website project management and development (ideally Drupal and/or WordPress); an understanding of user-centric design and mobile optimization; an awareness of trends in digital communications; proficiency with basic design production using InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; and proficiency with presentation design using PowerPoint or Keynote.  Seek a proactive, self-directed, and results-oriented individual who is able to define and execute projects independently but also act as a team player who can work in a highly collaborative environment.  Job #16967-P
