ACCOUNTANT, edX, to drive recurring but challenging daily and monthly work that includes the receivables life cycle, cash management, and ensuring that close is timely and balance sheet is accurate. Responsibilities include cash application from multiple payment sources (ACH, Wire, PayPal), customer invoice preparation via NetSuite and PayPal; reviewing and processing vendor invoices for payment via; assisting with new vendor and customer setup requirements, along with system implementations; answering accounting inquiries related to cash, invoicing/receivables, and vendors; the timely and accurate preparation of month-end accounting close functions as assigned including journal entries, fixed assets, bad debt reserve analysis and calculation, and bank reconciliations; assisting with annual internal and external financial audits by producing supporting schedules and documentation; cash collections and receivables management to bring down sales outstanding; and collaborating on projects.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in accounting; two years’ full-time experience in the areas of cash application, customer invoicing, accounts payable, and general ledger; excellent analytical, technical accounting, and communication skills; ability to provide concise, accurate written and verbal responses to questions; meticulous attention to detail; effective time management skills; ability to prioritize; process orientation; ability to identify and recommend process enhancements; comfort in a fast paced environment; ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and discretion and good judgment with confidential information/issues. Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP), QuickBooks, Trello (or similar system for cross-departmental communication), PayPal, and MS Office (including strong Excel skillset) preferred.
