We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, pro-active individual with training experience to the post of Digital Training Officer in the Directorate of Information, Learning and Estates. This post is 0.7 FTE with a working pattern over four days (Tuesday - Friday). Working with others in the Academic Services Team, your focus will be to provide and develop support for students and staff in the effective use of application software, through scheduled workshops, bespoke training and 1:1 support online and in person, on both the York and London campuses.
Essential skills for this post include excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively interpret and understand end user needs and the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple way. Although experience of IT training is not essential, candidates must have experience of delivering training programmes in other subject areas, in a variety of formats (including online) and to varying sizes of audience. Confidence and enthusiasm in using IT and technology is essential and support will be provided for the successful candidate to develop their expertise on specific applications and technologies furthermore.
