Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre
The Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (the Cyber Security CRC) is Australia’s largest industry-led Cooperative Research Centre for cyber security research and development of its kind. The Cyber Security CRC is looking to establish itself as a leading voice for cyber security research in Australia and one that will push boundaries and challenge preconceptions. It will provide thought leadership, an evidence-based approach to research and impact, and promote the development of the cyber security professionals of the future.
The Cyber Security CRC includes partners from industry, academia and government and its research programs will contribute significantly to the protection of Australia’s critical infrastructure and the development of new cyber security products and services to ensure that Australia is a safer place to do business online. The Centre will focus on research programs in Critical Infrastructure Security, Cyber Security Solutions as a Service as well as examining the legal, policy, privacy and regulatory implications of cyber security and living in a connected world.
An outstanding opportunity exists for an exceptional research leader to fill the role of inaugural Director of Research for the Cyber Security CRC. A member of the management team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Research will provide strategic leadership and coordination of research issues for the Centre. The successful appointee will demonstrate the research standing, management experience, and leadership qualities required to engage with stakeholders across academia, government and industry in order to drive highly impactful research programs.
