Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Public Policy and Economics in the School of Public Health (SPH) of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine and the Asia Global Institute (AGI) (Ref.: 493794). This is a joint appointment between the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine and Asia Global Institute, with the former as the home faculty. The post will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public policy, economics, public health, finance or development studies with outstanding teaching and research records. They should be experienced in influencing policy and business, and able to translate research into useful teaching output across faculties. The appointee will be expected to deliver quality teaching, conduct high-impact research, and perform other teaching co-ordination duties. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
