ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to assist the branch manager with the overall operation and performance of the credit union branch and assume responsibility for the branch in the manager’s absence. Other responsibilities include participating in and helping achieve service and business objectives; staff coaching, training, and ongoing education; helping initiate efficient systems/processes; helping to maintain and enhance MIT relationships; providing outstanding service to members; ensuring the safety and confidentiality of member information; establishing new memberships and associated deposit products and services; processing and closing consumer and student loan applications; assisting branch manager with branch security at all levels; providing back up to member relations representatives when necessary; helping ensure the accurate settlement of staff and the overall branch each business day; cross-selling products and services to current and potential members; ensuring for the processing of wire transfer requests and providing follow up when necessary; receiving and verifying cash drawer deposits and assisting with staff and branch end-of day settlement; performing ad hoc inventory, vault, and cash drawer audits; maintaining branch supplies, e.g., cashier checks, AMEX, debit stock, etc.; ensuring security of branch product inventory; ensuring delivery of branch checks and cash deposits to third-party vendors; identifying procedural/operational inefficiencies and recommending/implementing solutions; and assisting with the creation of procedures and/or training materials.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: two years’ experience in financial services and at least one year working in retail financial services; member/customer service experience; strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills; attention to detail; and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Associate’s degree in business or related field and supervisory or management experience are preferred.

The schedule for the position is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:45 A.M. to 4:45 P.M. and Thursday, 8:45 A.M. to 5:45 P.M.
