TECHNOLOGY LICENSING ASSOCIATE, PHYSICAL SCIENCES, Technology Licensing Office (TLO), to administer, manage, and maintain license agreements for the Technology Licensing Office, working with and under the direction of the technology licensing officers. Will serve as a liaison to various internal and external constituencies, and working under the tutelage of the licensing officer, communicate with faculty, students, industrial counterparts, patent attorneys, and staff accountants on invention disclosures, various licensing activities, and patent prosecution matters; assist in obtaining relevant information concerning publication, sponsorship, and open source software matters; attend licensing negotiations with business representatives and keep track of terms and issues of licensing agreements and draft basic agreement clauses and amendments reflecting negotiations for review by the licensing officers; enter license agreements and associated data into a database management system, keep updated files, and prepare reports; participate in obtaining waivers of government rights to inventions; and assist in technology marketing.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a strong background in science as demonstrated by a B.S. in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science; outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the ability to quickly communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly; ability complete multiple assignments despite interruptions; an interest in clarifying and simplifying complexity; strong priority setting and proofing skills; and office and/or organization experience. Seek a detail-oriented self-starter who enjoys working independently in a strategic but collaborative setting and who thrives in an environment that encourages critical thinking. An interest in intellectual property and technology transfer is desirable.
