PROJECT MANAGER, IDSS MICROMASTERS IN STATISTICS AND DATA SCIENCE, Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (part-time, 80%), to work with a research scientist to coordinate on the design, development, marketing, delivery, and assessment of online courses for the MITx MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science, a new online program that will provide online courses and certificates tied to a partner institution’s degree program. Responsibilities include working with a research scientist to oversee the conception, development, delivery, and assessment of digital education offerings; and working closely with IDSS, ODL, and edX faculty, staff, and TAs assigned to the project. Will also lead the marketing and outreach efforts and learner engagement tools and oversee the program budget and HR transactions. 

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: at least three years of project management experience; a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in planning, administration, education, computer engineering, or related area; strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities in a time-sensitive manner; and experience with academic budgeting, scheduling, and goal setting. A background creating online educational content is highly desirable. Working knowledge of data science and statistics and a domain knowledge of online education is preferred. Demonstrated ability to generate trust and rapport with the MIT faculty, staff, community members, and external constituencies will be needed, as will experience managing and collaborating with a diverse team of people with varying backgrounds and expertise.
