The Opportunity

The newly established Group of Dr. Nadinath B. Nillegoda at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute, Monash University is seeking a highly motivated/passionate Research Fellow (Postdoctoral Fellow) interested in studying the interplay between neurodegeneration and immunity. The laboratory’s primary research is geared towards investigating attractive new proteostasis-based directions for future therapeutic interventions that effectively slow neurodegeneration and disease progression by reversing protein aggregation and/or the associated cytotoxicities in human cell/tissue types. Our laboratory uses a combination of advanced cell biological and biochemical methods.

The advertised position emphasizes on modulating cellular chaperone systems to perturb the immunological response that contributes to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders ranging from Alzheimer’s disease to Multiple Sclerosis.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.

The successful applicant will need to possess a current valid Police Check.

Your application must address the selection criteria. Please refer to "How to apply for Monash Jobs".
