We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Learning Technologist. This post is based within the Academic Practice Team, in the Centre for Learning Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP) and reports to the Technology-Enhanced Learning Manager.

The post-holder has responsibility for Learning Technology support in a School. The successful applicant will provide support and advice to staff and students using technology for learning, teaching and e-Assessment and oversee the smooth running of dedicated support. They will also take a leading role in developing and promoting Technology-Enhanced learning within a School and across the University. This could include taking the lead on small projects linked to teaching or on identified parts of larger projects within a School or across the University.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Academic Practice Team. In this post you will be part of a network of colleagues who develop and promote effective practice in the integration of technology within Aston’s curriculum design and quality principles, both within and outside of the Schools in which they work. You will provide advice and support to staff and students on a range of basic and more specialist software for teaching and research, including the VLE, eAssessment and other pedagogical areas.

Applicants should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a good first degree and ideally be progressing towards CMALT. Knowledge of developments in the higher education sector would be an advantage.
