Associate Professor in Cultural & Creative Industry or International Cultural Trade

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Science (FHSS) offers various programmes with distinctive characteristics and strengths, consists of applied psychology, cultural industry management, social work and social sciences, covering Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels. In addition, there are pre-university and general education courses to provide an all-round education for undergraduates and promote the comprehensive development of students' intellect.

Job Description
Candidates are expected to contribute significantly to the faculty program development. Successful candidates will be responsible in duties included: (i) teaching; (ii) supervision and coordination of student’s fieldwork in social service organizations; and (iii) facilitate research activity and exchange relevant to the program.

Job Qualifications

  • Candidates should be Doctoral Degree holder in related disciplines from well-known university.
  • Experience of teaching courses in related field such as the research of cultural creativity and creative workers, cultural consumption, cultural industry brands, cultural trade, cultural intermediaries and other related fields, respectively in higher education institutions at postgraduate levels will be an advantage.
  • Proven record of research, with clear potentials for future publication in the related field.
  • At least 4 years of teaching and mentoring master or doctorial graduate experience in the above areas, and have good performance. 
  • Need five or more journals already published in CSSCI or two or more journals already published in A&HCI.
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin with the ability to communicate and present clearly and succinctly.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork spirit. 

The remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualifications, current position and professional experience. The compensation/benefits are competitive. Currently, the highest marginal personal tax rate in Macao is 12%. But the effective tax rate is around 5% to 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
