Job description

Norway is in a unique position regarding marine biomass and these resources play an important role in our economy. The potential for value creation based on marine resources is however currently underexploited, and there is a need for development of new enabling technologies for realizing this potential. A key element is the characterization of the marine biomass as well as isolated compounds and biomaterials developed from the biomass. Here the post-doctoral fellow is expected to further develop the field of NMR spectroscopy for characterisation of biomass, polysaccharides and biomaterials from marine resources. The Post Doc is also expected to take part in development of the Norwegian NMR Platform at NTNU. The position reports to Prof. Finn L. Aachmann and Prof. Berit L. Strand.

Qualification requirements
