The Medical School is looking for a G Grade Year Administrative Lead for its MB ChB Medical Programme. This is a key post imbedded in a tight knit proactive programme team. The MB ChB has approximately 1230 (250/270 per cohort) students across 5 years of study based at the university and across seven NHS Academies across the region.

This administrative lead will take responsibility for the 5th and final year of the programme. They will cover most of the tasks in the generic job description. They will take specific responsibility for all General Medical Council (GMC) related tasks, the student’s transfer from university to the NHS foundation programme, the Elective programme and for the graduation events. They will also work closely with the Assessment Manager on finals and in-year assessments.

The candidate will need to have strong administrative skills, be able to evidence independent working and excellent attention to detail. They will need to be quick, accurate and adaptable. Working in a large team they will also need to be flexible and prepared to support their colleagues with key events and help cover vacant roles and absence.

This is an exciting and challenging developmental role for the right candidate with the opportunity to build knowledge and competence and make the job their own.
