We are seeking a Research Administrator to support two initiatives linked to the University’s Elizabeth Blackwell Institute. You will work two days per week, with one day per week focused on each initiative.
The first involves working with a team on the Bioethics, Biolaw and Biosociety research strand, which is funded by the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute. The strand focuses on ethical, legal and social research in relation to health. Initially running until April 2020, the strand will hold a series of lectures, workshops and public engagement events, as well as providing support for collaborative research endeavours. The strand leads come from across the University: Professor Richard Huxtable (Medical School); Dr Sheelagh McGuinness (Law School); and Ailsa Cameron (School for Policy Studies).
The second involves working on a project, commissioned by the Vice Chancellor, which focuses on developing a new Wellbeing in Young People research initiative to complement other strategies and activities in this area across the University. This will involve working with the team in the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute, in particular Nina Couzin.
Working two days per week, you will primarily: organise, attend and minute meetings; administer the strand budget (with the strand leads); create and monitor databases; and manage communications.
