About the your role in our Factory of the Future
Swinburne’s Factory of the Future is an Advanced Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Innovation Hub supported by the Victorian Government. We help businesses to take full advantage of the digital economy and Industry 4.0, through taking them on digital innovation journeys and co-creating the digitally enabled business outcomes of tomorrow.
The journey starts with the articulation of Industry 4.0 enabled business-, product- and technology strategy: a well articulated strategy provides the rationale for subsequent investment by business to operationalize the digital transformation.
Led by our partner, the Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (IMCRC), we have developed frameworks for such a strategy and now wish to deploy these as a service offering of the Advanced Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Hub to manufacturing companies into the market place.
In your role as an Industry 4.0 Transformation Consultant, you will build collaborative partnerships with manufacturing companies to design and build their digital transformation strategy. You will be responsible for building awareness creation around Industry 4.0 in the form of workshops and breakfast events during which you will deliver the FutureMap™ innovation diagnostic to companies. You will perform detailed Industry 4.0 readiness assessments, develop programmes and deliver training in collaboration with Swinburne’s vocational training arm.
We are looking for 2 Consultants to join our team in a 2 year fixed term contract. You will bring your significant experience in a technical or operational management role in manufacturing or a manufacturing-related operation, where you have lead the to plan, coordinate, supervise, monitor and evaluate. You have a demonstrated understanding and clear articulation of that understanding of the business opportunities arising from Industry 4.0. A willingness to travel is a key requirement for this role.
