Reports to: Sport Operations Manager
Salary: £26,243 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week (working on a shift basis to cover early mornings, evenings & weekends), 52 weeks per year
Annual Leave: 20 days in addition to Bank Holidays
Term: Permanent 

St Mary’s University invites applications for a highly motivated individual to support the day-to-day operation of integrated sports facilities and sport & health services for a wide range of users including students, academic programmes, local community, international teams etc.

The role will be part of the Sport Operations Team and work with the Sport Development & Partnerships Team, to deliver an outstanding service that makes St Mary’s one of the UK’s leading universities for sport. The post holder will support the delivery of core University activity and associated income generation through developments that are integral to the University Corporate plan and strategic plans for sport.

It is essential that candidates have strong operational acumen to continuously support the activity, income streams and meet targets, whilst maintaining statutory regulations and best customer practice.

It is also essential that candidates possess excellent communication and IT skills and have significant experience in leading, developing and motivating teams. The post holder must have at least one years’ operational experience within integrated sports facilities & services, A REPS L2 gym instructor’s qualification and have a valid First Aid at Work certificate. Experience in Health & Safety and Safeguarding within the context of sport operations is also essential.
