RECOVER Injury Research Centre
RECOVER is a leading Australian research centre and is a joint initiative of The University of Queensland, and the Queensland Motor Accident Insurance Commission. Research generated in RECOVER informs policy and clinical practice to improve the health, psychological, social, vocational and economic outcomes of people with injuries and disabilities following motor vehicle accidents.
The Centre’s research supports the Motor Accident Insurance Commission’s key objectives of an affordable and viable Compulsory Third Party Insurance scheme, better health outcomes, community engagement and participation, and a positive claimant experience.
RECOVER has three primary research themes: Improving the delivery and availability of evidence-based services; Designing better therapies; and Facilitating return to pre-injury functioning.
RECOVER is currently seeking a Principal Research Fellow to conduct research in the area of musculoskeletal injury following motor vehicle crashes. The appointee will conduct research in the Designing Better Therapies Program.
Applicants should possess a PhD in a relevant area. The person should have a national and international profile for research in an area relevant to RECOVER and a strong track record of external competitive research funding.

This role is a part-time (0.5 FTE) position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed term appointment (until 31 December 2019) at Academic Research Level D. The remuneration package will be in the range $138,627.92 - $152,726.04 FTE p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions 17% (total package will be in the range $162,194.66 - $178,689.46 FTE p.a.).
