The Aston Logistics and Systems Institute is seeking to appoint a Business Engagement Manager to support the delivery of a project called: “Repowering the creation and extension of UK-centric supply chains” in the Marches LEP. The post is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The project will help companies in the food and associated manufacturing sectors to map, assess and improve the capabilities of their supply chains with the view to grow and to maximise UK content.
You will be working with colleagues with expertise in a range of supply chain domains (including procurement, logistics and production/manufacturing operations). This is an opportunity to become a member of a vibrant team with a successful track record. It is a particularly exciting time as the group is extending its business support and research activities in a number of areas, including supporting the food and associated manufacturing sectors.
The Business Engagement Manager for The Marches LEP has a crucial role in engaging businesses onto the project. He/she will also deliver diagnostic support and work with the Lead and Senior Academics to deliver advice to beneficiaries from The Marches LEP. The project will also deliver a number of workshops to assist businesses to consider strategies to improve maturity of companies’ supply chains. This post is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
You should have a University degree and/or have equivalent industrial experience/ qualifications, proven business engagement and administration experience, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and well-developed interpersonal and team-working skills
