Fixed - Full tuition fees and a stipend

Applications are invited for UK/ EU PhD studentships, which will include full tuition fees and a stipend. Different types of scholarship are available.

The start date for the studentships is 1 October 2019.

Holders of Faculty funded bursaries will be expected to contribute to the resourcing of the student experience during their study, either through seminar teaching or some other form of student support. This forms part of the terms and conditions of the bursary and there is no additional payment for it.

Successful applicants who are studying for a Masters qualification must complete their course of study before taking up their PhD place. As a minimum, applicants should possess a 1st or 2.1 Honours degree, but preference may be given to those with a distinction at M level.

Selection process

Successful applicants will be required to attend an interview where you will be asked to talk through your research proposal. All interviews will be in person and none will be conducted by Skype.

Interview dates are provisionally scheduled for 5th February 2019.
