The Faculty of Sport, Health and Applied Science is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Health Sciences – Nutrition.
The Faculty of Sport, Health and Applied Science is an internationally-recognised centre with established expertise and resources in running programmes in the areas of sport, health and exercise sciences and contributes to a Foundation year in Science
Successful candidates will undertake teaching and assessment across a range of health related programmes including Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate and contribute to curriculum development, policy formulation and planning for the Faculty. All of the Faculty’s teaching and learning activity is underpinned by significant research and enterprise (consultancy/knowledge transfer) work
Relevant experience in nutrition science, clinical nutrition, sports and exercise nutrition, public health nutrition or the food industry is desirable. Ability to teach subjects on all health related programmes including research methods, physiology and biochemistry is essential.
A relevant first degree, postgraduate qualification and registration as a Nutritionist, Public Health/ Nutritionist (UKVRN) or Dietitian (HCPC) is essential. A PhD is essential. You will possess the willingness and ability to undertake research and knowledge transfer activity, be a team player, and will possess the ability to contribute to cross- programme teaching in the Faculty.
