Apply your clinical Midwifery experience to contribute to the preparation and education of students in the College of Nursing and Midwifery.

The College of Nursing and Midwifery delivers teaching in the areas of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Science. The education and training provided by the College is strongly grounded in a philosophy of working to advance health and wellbeing in partnership with individuals and communities. The College offers a range of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs that cater to students in pursuit of a health professional or research career and those in pursuit of lifelong learning.

As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Midwifery you work with a team of academics within the College and contribute to teaching and research activities. This includes support and guidance for new staff members and engagement in the administration of the Bachelor of Midwifery and postgraduate or health related programs and the development and delivery of education units, including off-campus and flexible delivery.

Your interpersonal and communication skills will be finely-tuned, as you will be communicating predominantly online with students from various educational, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, and providing timely, accurate, relevant and constructive feedback and academic assistance as required.

To be successful you require postgraduate qualifications at PhD level in Midwifery (or health related field), current unconditional registration as a Midwife with the NMBA, and demonstrated academic teaching experience at tertiary level including experience in planning, preparation and delivery of online undergraduate education programs.
