The School of Engineering is seeking applicants to join a pool of staff-paid-by-the-hour. Applicants need to possess a relevant first degree and master level qualification (or equivalent experience). Experience of development and delivery of teaching materials would be an advantage but, to be successful, candidates need to demonstrate competence and academic ability in an area of education that the school provides. Applications from people able to contribute to delivery of modules in the following specialisms are particularly welcome: Electrical Engineering (power generation, distribution, supply and/or building services), quantity surveying, fire engineering, chemical and/or petroleum engineering and aerospace flight mechanics simulation and associated vehicle design.
Successful applicants will be expected to complete HR checks for eligibility to work and undertake induction, in order to be prepared for potential contract offers at short notice The pool will be considered first when seeking to fill normal (i.e. planned) short-term opportunities and to cover sudden, or unexpected vacancies. Prior experience of working for UCLan on SPH would be an advantage.
All candidates must agree to accept and remain within the university's normal eligibility rules (e.g. visa restrictions on working hours).
