Cardiff Metropolitan is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Admissions Officer (Part Time, Postgraduate & Research) in order to support the activities of a busy centralised Admissions Unit. The post holder will coordinate the admissions process for Postgraduate, Part Time and Research programmes.
The successful person should have experience in similar role and be used to working in a busy environment, providing an excellent level of service to both applicants, staff and external bodies. Knowledge and understanding of Higher Education Admissions and Student recruitment process is required and although Higher Education experience is preferred similar administrative experience and skills will be considered.
Applicants must have good IT systems and software knowledge as well as experience of dealing with databases. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people, as well as build effective working relationships are required. The ability to work as part of a team is also required, with attention to detail and clear consistent judgement. You should be engaging, inquisitive and articulate, and be able to operate day to day with limited supervision. You will be confident and have a positive attitude for delivering a high quality applicant experience which links in with the Universities passion for high quality student experience.
