The Library is integral to achieving world-class scholarship at The University of Queensland. The Library’s staff work in partnership with the academic and health community to provide convenient access to quality information, and to manage and provide access to UQ scholarship. The Library provides information services that are customisable to individual needs and which recognise disciplinary perspectives and their information requirements. The Library engages with the community to foster scholarship and strengthens the culture of collaboration and partnership within the University.
The focus of this position will be to lead and manage the Digital Scholars Hub within the University of Queensland Library. The position is responsible for supporting the digital researchers, students, teachers and staff members. The position will be responsible for ensuring the capabilities, skills and needs for a digital literate consumer are supported, including digital ethics and digital methods. The Digital Scholars Hub will collaborate and work in partnership with other key stakeholders across the Library and University.
Applicants should possess a Postgraduate degree in a relevant field and a recognised professional library or education qualification and/or extensive experience in academic or research libraries or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
The application should have extensive knowledge of and expertise in information and digital literacy services in a research or higher education environment as well as proven leadership and management skills and the demonstrated ability to implement organisational change and develop staff in a changing environment.

This is a full-time, continuing term appointment at HEW Level 9. The remuneration package will be in the range $110,986.34 p.a. to $117,446.89 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $129,854.01 to $137,412.86 p.a.).
