Closing date for applications 16-Dec-2018
The School of Education is seeking excellent candidates for supervision of Masters Dissertations on their well-established MSc Education. We welcome applications from those with a wide range of methodological expertise, and would be particularly pleased to hear from those with mixed methods expertise.
Candidates should be qualified to postgraduate level (Doctoral or, for exceptional candidates, Master's) with experience at supervising research projects, ideally Master's dissertations.
Our MSc Education programme has a range of different pathways, and attracts students from all over the world who wish to develop their critical understanding about education practice and policy. The dissertation is a opportunity for them to design and conduct their own research project (either empirical, or using secondary data) in a specialist field that excites them. Topics covered are extremely wide-ranging, and we would very much appreciate candidates with expertise of supervising dissertations where data collection takes place in schools in the UK and abroad.
The post is offered on an Hourly Paid Teacher basis from January 2019, and against the Senior Associate Teacher role descriptor.
To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday 16th December 2018.
Please direct any informal queries to Dr Jo Rose (email@example.com) Portfolio Director.
We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
