Full-time, permanent role

York St John is an ambitious, modern university at the heart of historic York and there has never been a more exciting time to join us.

Based within the Careers, Placements and Student Opportunities team, our new Data and Impact Advisor will work with colleagues to put the employability of our students and graduates at the heart of everything they do. We are incredibly proud that 97% of our graduates move into employment or further study post- graduation. This places the institution as 23rd out of 153 Universities and 2nd in Yorkshire and the North East.

‘Enabling our students to reach their full potential’ is a key strategic aim for us as an institution and the newly formed Clear About Career strategy articulates our ambitions. We are passionate about creating an individual employability journey for every student.

We have recently invested in a new amazing space for the Careers, Placements and Student Opportunities team – LaunchPad which will open in January. This will become a thriving hub for everything employability … whether that be Employer Talk Back sessions, workshops on how students can showcase their talents, support on how to find a placement or volunteering opportunity and information on study abroad.

We are very excited to bring to the market such a fabulous new role. So if …

You would … love to use data to influence decisions

You are … passionate about researching the graduate labour market and using this intelligence to engage others in the future world of work

You … shine when engaging with graduates and signposting the opportunities available to them

… we would love to hear from you.

For an informal chat about the role please contact Emma Vincent, Head of Professional and Career Development on 01904 876543 or alternatively email e.vincent@yorksj.ac.uk

As a Stonewall Top 100 employer and holder of the Social Enterprise Gold Mark for Responsible Business Practice, our strength lies in the supportive, inclusive network that exists within our team: renowned for our friendly, progressive environment, we will nurture your potential so that you can accomplish your ambitions.
