We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team within the University of Surrey’s Doctoral College. The Doctoral College is a recent initiative that was established to support the academic and professional development of postgraduate and early career researchers and to ensure our world-leading research continues to grow.

Within this newly created role, you will make an important contribution to realising a core objective of the Research Strategy to double postgraduate research numbers within 5 years. You will identify and pursue doctoral and post-doctoral funding opportunities by horizon scanning, co-ordinating bids and supporting academic supervisors to see out external opportunities.

A good team player, you will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You will be a self-starter and adept at working across a range of departments to maximise external investment in doctoral and early career researchers.

The University of Surrey is amongst the highest achieving universities in the United Kingdom, having been awarded the Times/ Sunday Times University of the Year Award for 2016. We are ranked 10th in The Times Higher Education Table of Tables for UK universities in 2017, and we are the recipient of four Queen’s Anniversary Prizes.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held the week commencing 22nd November and we look forward to receiving your application.
