The University of Manchester delivers a world-leading portfolio of eHealth research and training across the North of England and beyond. An opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join the Greater Manchester Connected Health City (GM CHC) project. The post is available immediately and will be tenable on a fixed terms basis until 31 March 2019.
We are seeking a Data Analyst to develop scripts for the efficient and transparent preparation of NHS data for statistical analysis. The successful candidate will be a talented, self-motivated individual with a passion for technology and information analysis, have the ability to work in a team and be someone who sets for themselves the highest professional standards. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills, knowledge and experience to make a significant contribution to improving the health of the population and the efficacy of the health service. You will be based at the University of Manchester, with some travel throughout the North West of England to work with partner NHS organisations.
We are looking for someone who is ideas-driven, enthusiastic and able to work well as part of the GM CHC team with support and guidance from Professor Tjeerd van Staa and other senior colleagues.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an area relevant to health informatics; have proven experience in preparing data for statistical analysis and write scripts in commonly used statistical packages. A relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
