The Graduate Entry MBBS programme at Ulster University is being established to widen access to medicine across the North-West of Northern Ireland, and we need to ensure that we adopt a forward-looking approach to the curriculum delivery, ensuring that formative assessment is embedded throughout the programme, and the assessment process runs efficiently.

The postholder will be responsible for adopting a strategic approach to assessment that (a) meets students’ needs, (b) is an exemplar of current best practice, and (c) ensures that only those students who meet the GMC standards to enter clinical practice are progressed through the programme.

This fixed term role is available from January 2019 – 31 December 2021. It is part-time, 1 day per week initially, with possibility of increasing to 2 days with the first intake of students if required and agreed with the relevant Trust.

The role is available as a secondment opportunity and the terms & conditions of the successful candidate will be unaltered (i.e. s/he will remain on their HSC contract and their job plan will be reviewed to take account of this work at the University).

Interested applicants should seek approval from their Clinical Director before applying.
