This is a new post at LJMU, aimed to provide specialist support in the collection analysis and reporting of research-related information from across the University. You will directly support the Head of Research Excellence and Research Strategy in preparation for submission to the Research Excellence Framework and have an eye for detail to quality assure a range of information ahead of submission and during audit.

On an ongoing basis, you will have expert knowledge of the University’s current research information system (Symplectic Elements) and using other external research intelligence tools, you will process data from multiple sources to aid understanding of the University’s research performance and its progress against specific strategic objectives.

Academic liaison is a major feature of the role, including contributing to advocacy and evaluation activity around selected research policy areas, and supporting endeavours to build research capability amongst staff. You will work closely with colleagues across a range of professional services in the University and make a significant contribution to customer-focussed objectives of Research & Innovation Services.
