The Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health (SMAH) is committed to quality outcomes delivered via a sustainable model where development and innovation are key elements of all that we do.  SMAH is one of UOW’s five Faculties and incorporates the Schools of Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Earth and Environmental Science, Nursing, and the School of Medicine (incorporating Graduate Medicine).

The Centre for Environmental Risk Management of Bushfires is a research centre in the School of Biological Sciences. CERMB research aims to quantify the risk of bushfire impacts under changing climate, population and land uses and to quantify the effectiveness of mitigation measures. This position is part of the Centre’s close relationship as a provider of applied knowledge to Government agencies.

The position will contribute to the research program of the NSW OEH Bushfire Risk Management Research (BRMR) Hub. The Hub consists of a team of researchers led by the Centre for Environmental Risk Management of Bushfires at the University of Wollongong.This role will make a vital contribution to the research program of the Hub in line with the University’s goals for research excellence.
