Reporting to the Student Services Manager (Student Records), you will play a key role in the operational support of the University’s student record system. In addition, you will support the Student Services Manager (Student Records) in implementing student record related projects. This will involve working with colleagues, students, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of relevant policies, procedures and practice in order to achieve high quality student records management and a positive student experience.

You will provide advice and guidance to University colleagues, including PSS/Faculty/Schools-based managers, on key issues concerning student record data and the student record system (Campus Solutions). Furthermore, you will support the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the Division’s strategy, policies and procedures.

You will line manage the activities of the Student Records Coordinators (SLP) and Senior Student Services Assistants in a range of tasks associated with the setup, management and processing of students records, according to agreed standards and procedures, so that the objectives and customer requirements are met.

You will take a leading role in the Student Lifecycle Project related to the setup, implementation and preparation for going live of a new version of the student records system in business areas supported by the Student Records Team. Specific responsibilities in this area will be related to the new functionality for managing the curriculum, programme set-up, course unit enrolment and assessment and progression.

With a degree or relevant professional qualification or equivalent extensive experience in the area of IT systems support and development (ideally in a higher education environment), you should have significant experience of providing system support and advice. Ideally, you should have experience of working in a student administration environment with knowledge of student information systems and an up to date knowledge of student administration processes and Campus Solutions functionality. You should have experience of project management and the management and development of staff.

You should possess excellent communication skills and be able to present information clearly and explain complex issues to a range of audiences with varying levels of understanding. Experience of working in a customer focused environment and delivering exceptional customer service as well as sound analytical, creative and pragmatic problem solving skills are essential.
