Job description

We are delighted to be recruiting to this new role within the Institute of Sport. The role of Administration Manager will manage and coordinate the workload of the administrative staff working within the Institute of Sport and support the Director and Deputy Director to deliver a consistent and professional administrative support service in line with strategic priorities across the Institute of Sport.

The post holder will be part of the Institute Strategic Leadership Team and Institute Management Group supporting strategic planning for the Institute of Sport, and will be a central point of contact for the department. The post holder will also have some programme administration responsibilities.

In addition to proactively managing the administration team within the Institute of Sport, this role will support the Director to meet financial targets and develop new programmes to increase core business and lead on efficiency in the Institute of Sport activities.

This role requires someone who has excellent communication skills and has the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, is able to plan and manage conflicting demands and has experience of managing a team and budgets. Having a broad knowledge of the Higher Education sector would be desirable, but is not essential.
