Massey University's School of Agriculture and Environment are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer in Farm Management, to advance teaching, research and professional development in farm business management. In this position, you will contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in farm business management and related integrative courses from a strong base of farm systems knowledge, which will involve close collaboration with the farming community and New Zealand primary industry. You will also supervise graduate students, and conduct research and extension activities in farm management.

As a successful applicant, you will have a PhD, relevant academic and research experience, as is an ability to develop strong networks in, and knowledge of, primary industries and farm systems in New Zealand and globally. In addition, you will demonstrate effective case study analysis, publication and teaching experience needed for farm management curriculum development. Publications will provide proof of a strong background in both quantitative and qualitative research methods applied within a farm business context. A graduate qualification in Farm Management or other relevant discipline and industry and/or commercial experience is desirable. Your familiarity with pastoral systems is essential.

An outgoing and motivating personality is essential, together with excellent analytical and communication skills. Prior teaching experience at a tertiary level would be advantageous.
