We particularly welcome applicants from underrepresented groups
The Department of Law and Criminology is a dynamic staff group with a broad portfolio of teaching, research and scholarly activities that cut across the subject areas of law, criminology, criminal and social justice. We are developing a number of academic awards that are designed to provide qualification routes for police constables. This is in response to the Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) as developed by the College of Policing.
You will make a substantial contribution to the development and delivery of the PEQF and this will involve elements of both online and face to face teaching. You will be part of an academic tutor network, supporting learners both in the university and the workplace.
You must have a well-developed current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to policing practice and criminal justice and experience of professional practice within the police force. A good honours degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification or experience in a relevant discipline and a qualification within the field of policing is essential.
For non-EU applicants, we are unlikely to be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this job (unless you are switching from a UK student visa), so you should only apply if you already have unrestricted permission to work in the UK.

We welcome applications for job-share, part-time and flexible working arrangements
