The Asian University for Women (AUW) is driven by a powerful mission to educate and empower women, providing an intellectually rewarding and enriching student experience. The University plays a pivotal role in supporting access to education and leadership development for young women across Asia and the Middle East, and in doing so, establishing a new generation of female leaders in the region. The impact is vast and enduring as AUW continues to grow and widen access to more opportunities for women.

The University is now seeking to appoint a new Dean of Arts and Sciences who will be inspired and motivated to contribute to the development of academic programs and partnerships at the University. Bringing dedication, resourcefulness and extensive teaching experience gained, the Dean will lead faculty in the development and delivery of high-quality teaching and research, the realisation of the University’s new campus and the recruitment of outstanding staff and students as the institution continues its ambitious growth.

Under the leadership of the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Nirmala Rao, progress to date has been outstanding, with 800 students from 15 countries in and around the region, providing women from diverse backgrounds unprecedented learning opportunities and the space to flourish. Furthermore, with over 700 graduates to date, the Asian University for Women alumnae are making a positive global impact and pursuing postgraduate education and professional placements outside the region to broaden and enrich their student experiences.

With new academic programs being introduced and plans to build the Life and Natural Sciences facility, this is a great opportunity for someone to really shape the role and the environment. Aligned with the mission and values of AUW, we welcome applications from individuals who are keen to co-envision with the University’s Vice Chancellor and the Board of Trustees in the next phase of the University’s development and lead the creation of a new science and humanities initiative.
