£59,828 - £63,462 PER ANNUM

The Faculty of Education and Children’s Services is seeking applications from well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed people to join our successful team.

The Faculty is seeking to appoint a Head of Initial Teacher Education (ITE), who will be a member of the Faculty’s Management Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for academic leadership of ITE, including all programmes and modules therein, and oversight of all associated curriculum development, teaching, learning, and research. 

The appointed candidate will be responsible for academic quality in compliance with Ofsted, the QAA and University regulations. In collaboration with the Executive Dean, Associate Deans and fellow Heads of Department in the Faculty of Education and Children’s Services, the post holder will be involved in the effective management and development of the Faculty. 

The successful candidate will be a successful leader with experience of teaching, managing and organising provision within an HE setting, with experience of teacher education. They will also have experience of the successful application of Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement procedures.
