Information Security Manager
The Information Security Manager is responsible for the definition and application of Information security policy, standards and guidelines. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the information security posture for Maynooth University. The role initially reports to the Chief Information & Innovation Officer (CIIO) and may change as other Senior Management positions are established.
Data & Technology are integral to the day-to-day running of Maynooth University. The importance of Information Security controls continues to grow and is key to MU's strategy as the University strives to deliver Service Maturity and Digital Transformation.
The Information Security Manager, will play a key role in defining and maintaining the overall Information Security of Maynooth University and ensuring ongoing compliance. The University is looking for someone to drive this capability forward and to ensure the Information Security culture keeps pace with the needs of the University.
This function includes Information Security, Business Continuity, Risk and Compliance elements of all IT processes, Systems, Applications, and Infrastructure. The Information Security Manager is responsible for leading Information Security across the University. They will be effective in embedding Information Security best practice and providing assurance to the University Executive and Governing Authority. Reporting to the CIIO this position will form a key part of the CIIO leadership team.
Senior Administrative Officer Grade IV Salary Scale: €57,161 - €89,893 per annum (7 points)
Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the above scale.
