The University of Bristol is looking for a committed Diversity and Inclusion Champion to work within the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute for Health Research. This is an exciting position fully funded by the Wellcome Trust. The role will complement the strong Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team that exists at the University of Bristol, but will have a significant degree of autonomy both in delivering objectives.
Your focus will be to champion and challenge equality, diversity and inclusion within health and biomedical research staff communities at the University of Bristol. The initial stage of identifying barriers and areas for targeted action has now been completed. Based on the findings, you will be expected to prioritise, develop and implement actions that will affect positive cultural and systemic change promoting best practice in equality, diversity and inclusion. You will also evaluate the impact of these interventions.
To be successful in this role, you will use your extensive knowledge of diversity and inclusion issues as well as your understanding of research methodologies to translate evidence-based findings into pilot initiatives and interventions. You will have had experience of working within large and complex organisations, possibly in an HR role. You will be able to demonstrable ability to influence others as well as experience of successful development and delivery of complex projects and managing change.
