As part of our research strategy, the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations (CTPSR) is working to strengthen human security and resilience to help improve the way we live. Our team of leading academics has developed a significant portfolio of excellent and impactful research that delivers world-class results.

We are looking for a talented post-doctoral researcher to join our research teams to support the development of impactful research and consultancy activity within the University Research Centre.  In particular, the post-holder will contribute to the delivery of projects on conflict transformation, regional inequalities, natural resource governance, transitional justice and post-conflict reconstruction.

You should hold a PhD in a relevant subject, and demonstrate an ability to carry-out independent research. You must have prior research experience and expert knowledge in a field relevant to the focus of the post, and experience in undertaking fieldwork in challenging contexts.  Advanced knowledgeof research methods and techniques for working with communities, NGOs and international organisations are essential, as is a proven track record of engaging with policy-makers and influencing policy through evidence-based approaches.  You will also have strong project management and organisation skills, and have an ability to write up research for peer reviewed publications and conferences.
