Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Computer Science
- Level B/C (Level B - $96,135 - $113,788, Level C- $117,310 - $134,966) per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% may apply.

The School of Computer Science is seeking someone to contribute strongly in specialised teaching and research in Computer Science, with the ability to teach in a wide range of core computer science and software engineering subjects. Applicants whose research interests would complement and strengthen one or more of the areas of existing research strength within the school are particularly encouraged to apply.
The School of Computer Science is one of seven schools that make up the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences. It offers high quality accredited degrees in computer science, and software engineering, has strong links with industry and a robust research ethos. The School is closely affiliated with the Australian Institute for Machine Learning, a focal point for is a focal point for fundamental and applied machine learning research.
The School ranks #1 in Australia and #43 on the 2018 Shanghai University Rankings for Computer Science, and is #1 in Australia for research in Computer Vision and #1 in Australia for research in Software Engineering on csrankings.org. In addition the School has strong research groups in Optimisation and Logistics, Learning Support and Learning Analytics, IoT, Computer Security and Distributed Systems.
To be successful you will need:
- A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline
- Teaching experience demonstrating both commitment and success in effective and inspirational participation in computer science and software engineering
- Ability to significantly contribute to the teaching and administration of subjects (including curriculum development) within the range of subjects offered by the school
- Ability to significantly contribute to world class research within the field of Computer Science
- High level of oral and written communication skills in English
