The University of Manchester invites applicants for the above post. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced clinician to join the Division. You will be expected to provide teaching to all ranges of students, particularly undergraduate students.
Applications are invited from dental practitioners, who are fully registered with the General Dental Council, to assist in the delivery of dental training and to teach on the undergraduate BDS programme (5 years) and BSc OHS programme (3 years) in the Restorative department of the Division of Dentistry. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of teaching for The Manchester Dental Programme.
You will have a minimum significant post-qualification experience. Previous experience of teaching undergraduate students is essential. You will be required to accept a managerial role within the Division of Dentistry as part of your appointment to facilitate the delivery of the curriculum, devise innovative ideas of delivery and assessment of teaching and learning, and manage the staff involved, therefore a recognized qualification in teaching is essential.
As part of your Divisional role, you are encouraged to conduct research to document and publish changes you have made to the curriculum, therefore postgraduate qualifications containing a research component are desirable.
You will be required to have good communication and organisational skills, together with the ability to work as part of a team.
